ink stain on carpet

whats the best thing to use to remove it, fairly new carpet as well tia

what kind of ink? colour, washable (felt tips etc)

black normal ink pen

oooh- um stain devils don't rub it i would i,magine or you'll end up with a dirty grey smudge!
