Keeping on top of kitchen cleaning

We are not messy but our cleaning of the kitchen is haphazard. Our kitchen is horrible in style so not somewhere we linger. We regularly clean surfaces and floors but are somewhat lacking when it comes to cleaning cupboards. We tend to do a deep clean every now and again. We are getting a new kitchen in the next few weeks and want tips on what to do on a monthly/weekly basis to negate the need for a deep clean. Do as we go along rather than a blitz.

So tips please. How often do you wash your cupboard fronts - ours are going to be a shaker cream oak - what would you use to clean and how often? Our worktop is oak veneer, what do you use on yours? Tiles - how often do you clean them, how do you keep them pristine? Stainless steel sink and oven - any recommendations there?

One tip I read which I will adopt - put greaseproof paper on tops of units. That way instead of having to wash off accumulated greasy grunge you just replace the paper.

Put greaseproof paper on the cupboard shelves too.
Clean cupboard fronts regularly. Tiles wipe up splatters and avoid the grout.
Make sure that the oak veneer doesn't get damp.
