But I don't have that much money, so IKEA or the new place, is it called ILVA?

bran · 13/07/2007 20:13

muppetgirl · 13/07/2007 20:14

www.cotswoldco.com
currently offering up to 65% off! Usually very expensive range but 65% is alot off of quality furniture. I have bought bedroom furniture from here (at full price - darn!) and it is very solid good quality stuff.

Also, www.furniture123.co.uk - has huge ranges.

ja9 · 13/07/2007 20:27

oooooh, heals is v. pricey....

second hand shops are great can buy good quality wooden beds. Friend got hers for £75 and then bought a new matress.
Ikea great, looks trendy but in our experience doesn't tend to last. Ds has had his bed just over a year and has broken the slats from Ikea.

We bought mahogany triple wardrobe with chest of drawers inside, a dressing table (with chest of drawers underneath) and bedside cabinets for £600.

Like I say do you want it to last or fill the spare bedroom?

(Our spare room has a bed from 'dreams' and it cost £220 and came with duvet, duvet cover, pillows, pillow cases and sheets and matress. Was a double)

southeastastra · 13/07/2007 20:31

i got some of these wardrobes the pine is really good but you have to paint/stain them.

ja9 · 13/07/2007 20:32

it needs to last. it's for our bedroom. don't want to be spending thousands....
