What gift for hosts?

We're staying with some friends in France for a week at their house. What would be a nice gift to give them which is practical to take on a plane? Budget of around £100

Something locally crafted from where you live. Or you could send them a rose or plant with an appropriate name to arrive just before you with card saying .. cant wait to see you.. see attached pic for idea.
