Ironing taffeta

I have a dress to wear at a wedding on Friday, it was mail order and has arrived with packing creases.

I'm the worst at ironing anyway and don't have the first clue... how do I iron this without scorching it?

Heeeeeeeelp please!
Thanks

Low iron temperature and use a damp cloth. Don't put the iron directly on the fabric, out the iron on the cloth. As ironing dries the cloth out, re-wet and wring it out. Try ironing the dress inside out too - minimises the possibility of any water marks being visible. Leave it hung up for as long as possible for creases to drop before you iron it. If it's badly creased you might have to iron it a couple of times.

Or you can hang it and steam it, if you have a steam generator type iron.

Hang it up in the bathroom when you have a shower , should make some of the creases drop out
