Washed my monsoon padded feather and down jacket and its completely flat help please

I washed my monsoon feather and down jacket the washing label said wash a 40 degrees .but i did it at 30 .its cometely flat i read quite a few threads that say to put it in a tumble drier to fluff it back up .but the label says do not tumble dry .the down hasnt gone lumpy .please help

if your tumble dryer has a cool setting then try using that for 10 minutes with three clean tennis balls to knock it about and fluff up -
repeat is it looks ok

Wait for it to be absolutely air dry then shake the heck out of it - it may take a day or two for the feathers to dry out completely prior to shaking. You'll need to shake the sleeves individually.

Dryer plus tennis balls OR a very clean trainer.

It makes a terrible racket but the results are astounding

It’s gone flat because the down and feathers are wet and not fluffy. They trap air, which makes the fluff, when they are dry. Ideally, you want a really hot day to dry it outside. Failing that, tumblr dryer, hair dryer, radiator and a lot of shacking and patience. Don’t shake the jja key until the filling has begun to dry out, or it will rip the seams.

(“Do not tumble dry” only means from wet. So air it & shake until it’s pretty much dry & then do the tennis balls.)
