Ds's bedroom is in a converted garage which has had a bit of a damp problem since we moved in. We noticed some mould growing on the wall by his bed, and on his blinds, last year and cleaned it up as best we could.
Today, I discovered mould growing on the underside of ds's mattress . Needless to say, a new mattress and mattress protector are on order, and a dehumidifier being looked at. But in time for all this arriving in a few weeks, how do we totally get rid of the mould spores (on blinds, walls, bed frame, etc) - and preferrably without bleach fumes lingering right around the head of ds's bed for weeks?
Also, does anyone know of any kind of window mesh, or plug-in gadget, to keep pollen out of the room, so we can better ventilate it in the summer? Keeping windows shut during the hayfever season isn't helping.
Thank you.
