I have candle wax over the minster stone, have got the wax off but there is still a stain. Any ideas what I can use to get rid of it.

Thanks.

any thoughts?????????

Surely someone has an idea - or maybe it is ok to leave it as it is!! Least I don't feel quite so bad about cleaning it.

Sorry, have bad news. This happened to mine and absolutely nothing worked to remove it. Tried everything, including grinding the surface down - but it had soaked in!!

Whatever you do, don't try the 'using an iron and teatowel' technique. This makes the stain bigger and brown!!

I ended up just carefully positioning an ornament

thank you - not sure that's what i wanted to hear though - but thanks for replying!

Our fireplace guy gave the various marks on it after he fitted it a rub with a pumice stone. Would that maybe work for yours?

Do you want me to e-mail FIL? Seeing as he makes the things and all

Peachy - that would be great - thanks

Hi we are a stonemasonry firm and has been making stone fireplaces since 1999, once you get the mark out, Have a think of getting it sealed it will only cost £30.00 and it is grate against any stains (But please make sure your fireplace is 100% real stone as I think but not 100% sure that minster stone fireplaces are not 100% real then you will not be able to get it sealed) check with the supplier.

Hope this helps
