Do colour catchers work on things that have already run?

I bought some lovely new stripey blue and white towels and on first wash (absolutely no idea what I washed it with, perhaps some other towels that are beige coloured) there is now a huge beige coloured stain on it!

Will colour catches get rid of the stain if the colour has already transferred from one thing to another?

No I'm sorry in my experience they don't. You could try though.
