This or this??
The big advantage of the simplehuman is the cost, but I like the layout of the joseph joseph. First world problem, I know!

Thanks Jo but that's designed just for recycling and isn't big enough to be our main bin as well.

I prefer the JJ one as chrome is a pain to keep clean

Goandplay · 30/03/2019 15:19

I’ve had the JJ one for 3 years and it’s still perfect. The co op bin bags fit perfectly.

It’s expensive for a bin but once it’s bought it’s bought.

Goandplay · 30/03/2019 15:20

I keep cleaning things in the bottom drawer. I tend to take my recycling out immediately anyway.

JLP that adds to the list of pros for the JJ bin. I've just done another measure and the JJ would fit better into the space we have even though it's a bigger bin overall.

Go that's good to know. I'm not one to keep replacing things so I'm hoping it'll last a lot of years. Great to know about the Co-op bags too.

I hate kitchen bins! They clutter up the floor space and look ugly. We have a plastic bucket lined with a pedal bin liner in a cupboard to the side of a sink. Prob cost a fiver if that.

jomaIone · 30/03/2019 15:31

The SH one is almost the exact same as the Argos one but over double the price!

northender · 30/03/2019 15:44

bibbity I'd prefer it to be in a cupboard, but have no space. Jo It's the 15 litre capacity for each compartment which is the issue with the Argos one. The simplehuman has a 30 litre capacity plus 16 for the recycling compartment.

My only tip would be see if it fits in your dishwasher before you commit!

ShakespearesSisters · 01/04/2019 22:24

I have a simple human one but my 2 bins are both 30L. I wish I'd gone for 2 different sizes but would have the recycling one as the big one as I have to empty that far more frequently than the rubbish one.
I does get some marks on it but cleans really easily and is now 4 years old and still looking good. It doesn't get the rust marks on it like the stainless steel ones I had in the past.

whitehalleve · 01/04/2019 22:28

I have a simple human one that's very similar. They're indestructible. I really rate it.

whitehalleve · 01/04/2019 22:29

It also cleans really easily which is surprising.
