Mooncup staining

I'm not sure I'm.posting in the right place so apologies if I have. I've had my mooncup for a few years now. It went through a phase of smelling really badly despite me rinsing in between changing, a good soapy scrub at the end of my period plus sterilising and thankfully it doesn't smell anymore. However, it's stained so badly and I just can't get it out. It's mainly round the stem and the ridges. I use a toothbrush and mild baby soap to wash it and use interdental brushes in the holes too. Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of the yuck? I know it doesn't warrant a new one as it works perfectly fine but I hate how stained it is!

Have you tried a bicarbonate paste? Make sure you wash thoroughly afterwards- don't want to irritate when you next use it!

I leave mine in a glass of half and half thin bleach and water for a few hours after my period has finished. Comes up pristine.

I soak mine with a Milton tablet!

Thanks for the tips, I'll try them all. Originally misposted this, and while I was waiting for it to be removed so that I could post here someone also advised bio washing powder, obviously thoroughly rinsed afterwards. Would not think to use bleach in case of damaging it, but might give that a whirl. It's currently soaking in a sterilising tablet, which reminds me, it's been there a while, I'd best take it out before I go to bed.

I boiled mine ina Milton solution and it came out brilliantly.

I've used the Bblonde cream peroxide and it takes the stains off really well - dab it on generously, leave for half an hour and thoroughly rinse. Looks like new!

I've done this several times and it hasn't damaged it.

Thanks all, I soaked it in bio washing powder for a bit, thoroughly rinsed it then soaked in sterilising solution for quite a while and it's much better so I probably wasn't leaving it for long enough before.
