Can someone recommend a decent iron?

My iron is pissing me off. It doesn't get rid of any creases and I'm done with it. I can't afford a steam generator one so has anyone got any suggestions?

Go German and get a Rowenta. It's hands down the best iron I've ever owned. They sell them on amazon (at least they do in the US). Just make sure you get one that's made in Germany. The cheapest ones are made in Mexico.

They are a bit pricey, but mine is 12 years old and works like it just came out of the box.

I bought this cos of its reviews and I'm not disappointed. It's fab.

Philips or as mention upped by PP Rowenta are the best you can get. Rowenta isn't all that big over here in the U.K. now though (they were massively popular at one point) but you can still get them.
