Karcher Hard Floor Cleaner?

Does anyone have one and how do you find it? I had no idea they existed until I saw an advert the other day. They are pricey but there are a couple for sale locally which have only been used a couple of times, which make me think they are not all that!

We have a varnished parquet floor and lots of lvt and being able to vac and mop at the same time really appeals to me.

I have the Karcher and I love it - it’s brilliant on tiles takes far less time than mopping and vacs as well so no need to do double the work! Love the fact you can machine wash the rollers too.

I had a hard time justifying the price with the reviews as they were critical and some amazing. I asked on MN and had some good reviews I was also going to get a refurbished one but figured I'd get a new one try it and send it back if no good.

I've had no problem with the Karcher picking up bits I've been quite surprised at how good it is tbh - I used to vac then mop now this does the two jobs I've never had to go back and vac. I will say though as per a mop sometimes it doesn't get stubborn stains I tend to notice them when going round with it and give them a quick spray with fairy and water then go back over them with the Karcher or give them a quick scrub.

Feel free to ask me any questions. HTH

Thanks for that @mommybear1, very helpful. How are the rollers wearing with machine washing? Quite a number of the reviews I've read suggest they aren't very robust and they are quite pricey.

I've had no issues that being said I do pop them in a laundry bag to wash them. I've had mine nearly a year and still have the first set of rollers which I use. I have brought two other sets (one for bathrooms and one spare) and they are all fairing well. I also use mine daily and wash them daily so they have taken a pretty good beating!

I think that has convinced me - thank you.

If you get it from amazon and your not impressed you can always send it back. Any problems/questions please don't hesitate to DM me - enjoy!!

I'm picking one up in the week. I've gone for secondhand, little used. I was going to spend over £80 on a second hand ice cream maker, but this is far more sensible.

@mommybear1 - thanks for your responses, I collected and paid for the cleaner tonight and I'm impressed. I didn't think the kitchen floor was very dirty, but the waste water was filthy!

@wowfudge oh brilliant!!! Well not about the dirt you found but delighted you are finding it a good investment!!! One thing I forgot to say is the yellow head and the pipes that lead to the head can be popped off and cleaned I tend to give them a swill under the tap as I find they collect dust clumps. Happy mopping Grin

I have "treated" myself to various floor cleaning potions. Sad, but true. At least it doesn't feel like such a chore now. The rollers are in the wash and next on my maintenance list is washing everything through.

I was deciding between the Karcher and Bissell Crosswave, but after watching demos and reviews on YouTube, I went for the Bissell in the end, and I'm so happy I did.

wowfudge · 15/03/2019 07:51

Why Viserion?

Is it worth also considering the Karcher SC2/3/4 Steam Cleaner as it can be used for more than hard floors. It is easily one of the best things I have bought for cleaning.

Karcher have an outlet ;) - www.karcheroutlet.co.uk/products/subcat.asp?mID=Steam-Cleaners&sID=Domestic-Steamers
