I am happy to report that we are all much better in the Ludaloo house You have all been so caring (as usual) and it really is appreciated

I have a busy day today. I have to nip to the P.Offie to get tax for the car, zoom into town to do a very much needed food shop! Then home in time to take DD1 to a village fair in the next village along, as she is singing in the hall.

I had better get on and sort my shopping list out.

Well, I have the grumps this morning...dh promised me a lie-in this morning earlier in the week but guess who ended up getting up at 6.30 with ds?...me, that's who - dh has just ambled downstairs about 5mins ago Shouldn't have expected differently really...
Still, it has given me time to make another cake for the school, wash up, sort the dw and clean the counter-tops in the kitchen so at those jobs are out of the way (dh wouldn't have done them even if he had given me a lie-in) I'm now running a bath and sulking upstairs for a bit while dh does breakfast with the kids

We're off here after lunch today/tomorrow as it's just a few miles from us. Really looking forward to it And the rain has stopped - yay!

I wont be around much this weekend, we are off to bristol today shoe shopping, I need to find some blue shoes to go with my dress for ascot next weekend. Tomorrow we need to paint the kitchen and get the doors on and a few trips to the tip.

DP is better now, DS's are fine and I woke up less tired today, even though I had a nightmare sleep last night.

Hi everyone. A bit sad today. My lovely cat was killed by a car this morning. The girls are devastated.

Not going to get another cat - the road is just too busy. So have been out and bought the girls two little guinea pigs . That's cheered them up a bit. Don't know anything about guinea pigs - bought a book so need to do a little reading up.

Anyway, kitchen still getting fitted - or not. dh watching flippin' rugby instead of doing it Really, really need to get the house into some kind of order.

The girls and I are getting our hair done later too so that's something to look forward to.

My only tip with guinea pigs is to only give them guinea pig food (oh they can have fruit veg and hay too) Ordinary stuff has molasses in and the piggies gut can't cope with it. Hope that makes sense.

Hung washing out

Loaded and ran DW
Played shops and restaurants with Ed (he was being Mr Clamp)
Made breakfast for all
Tidied away.
Clear toys away

Shower and dress me and DS
Make beds
Got to Tesco
Do the week's shop and go home.

If I hadn't had a 2 hr nap I'd have fallen down

Guinea pigs are sweet though, we have just bought a pair too I echo what grouchy said.... they need proper guinea pig food, and don't feed them lettuce, it gives them diorreah apparently.

Aaw thanks for all your sympathy. We went through this with our other cat just the other month. Can't believe we have lost this one too. Anyway, the girls are mightily pleased with the 'pigs' . Thanks for the tips - didn't realise lettuce would give them diarrhoea!

Kitchen has half the floor units finished now. Got completely confused with one of the door fittings which delayed things by about 3 hours .

Off to wash dishes and tidy up a bit again. Hairdresser is coming in 45 minutes

Gibberish sorry to hear about your cat. We have a Guinea too! They can have lettuce just not iceberg. Mine loves grass and dandelions. Oh and they absolutely love the green top off carrots!

I am going to be busy next week. I have 2 friends coming round. One that i haven't heard from in 12 yrs! He phoned out of the blue today. I am really looking forward to it! He is such a laugh. Chatted for ages on the phone. Other friend i knew at school. We have never lost touch but she lives in Devon and hasn't visited for a while.
This house must be clean and tidy! Any tips/ideas gratefully received.

Hello to all. I should be off to bed about now but we're waiting for dd to come home and pick up her stuff to go to a sleepover. I think I'll have to text her in a mo to make sure that she has been picked up from the cinema by her friend's parents.

tort I don't know if I have any tips, sorry. I focus on the kitchen first as it (and the utility room and downstairs loo) are the first rooms anyone sees. Do your usual and maybe make some scones or something to have something homemade to be able to offer.

I got back after a very long day out yesterday (Cadbury world with dd1 and 2)to find dp had no milk in the house. Despite him promising to get up and buy it in the morning, I made him go out and buy it then. Guess who is still in bed and who got up at 6.30?

Today I plan on cleaning, tidying, going to a car boot, and cutting the grass.
I may manage a list later.

Hope everyone is ok. I'm feeling a lot like Jas today with my list and I'm actually impressed that I am up so early on a Sunday to try and tackle it all!

The last couple of weeks have been very busy. I've now finished the first year of uni so I've got 6 weeks of college free work to be getting on with. Just means my house will no longer be neglected!

So far this morning:
Made DD breakfast (twice - she's a hungry one today!)
4 loads of wsahing done and out on the line, number 5 just going through.
I'm off now to see how much more I can get done by midday. Hope everyone is having a good day!

We had a great day yesterday It got very hot though and there was no shade so the kids got a bit grouchy towards the end of the afternoon. The music was brilliant, we kept the kids with us till 7ish then took them home to babysitters and went back for The Waterboys and David Gray on our own - lovely Today we'll be doing much the same...won't go into the festival till later in the day though- dd wants to stay up to see The Feeling who aren't on till late (for dd). Also Suzanne Vega and Blondie tonight so we're looking forward to that

Hope to get some housework done this morning but haven't got much gumption for it as yet...

Well, this house is SUCH a state today... have come to a standstill with the kitchen because we can't get in touch with the electrician and don't know when he is coming. So I have half a kitchen atm, with the rest scattered throughout the entire house. Nightmare. Have chosen the flooring and tiles and really should go buy them today but can't be bothered. Got SO much to do am going to have to make a list. Be back in a tic.

Today I have done very little except recover from a hangover and go for an amazing lunch with friends. Saw someone 'famous' from childrens tv when I was young, am sure her name is Liz, very distinctive voice and short blonde hair, but I can't quite place her yet. She was in something where she was a bit mad and scatty.
