Thanks Luda. (Keep your distance though no more germs wanted here!)

CTC Phoned.
Pipex phone peeps phoned.
IS phoned.
Tiscali phoned.

Nearly £10 gone off my mobile now. And i still need to contact SKY who will probably stop the sevice. i can't get a signal without SKY. So will have to go TV less until i can afford freeview box.

Will be fun here if i end up with no comp or TV!

Oh bugger! TV licence on D/D too.
i think i will leave them until i have checked if i can open any other bank account.

tortoise · 06/07/2007 11:38

Benifits will pay by giro for a few weeks but IS won't do that for long. if no bank account i would hve to go in to get money each week!

ludaloo · 06/07/2007 11:41

Ahhh well at least your benefits won't stop, just a bugger to get!

tortoise · 06/07/2007 11:42

Lol yeah!
Will spend half of it on train fare!

julezboo · 06/07/2007 11:58

tort - you could try getting a basic account, natwest do something called a step account, basically you dont have no overdraft, just an account with a debit card, they dont do a credit check to open it.

They originally made them for people who need to have benefits in somewhere. I still have one that Im using now for our DD

Just a thought, Im sorry you have all this going on

I havnt done anything on list yet! Might have to go pick DP up hes feeling ill, same as I had at the beginning of the week, DS had it week before and im pretty sure baby had it yesterday will it just keep doing circels with us all??

Meant to be shoe shopping tomorrow too!

tortoise · 06/07/2007 12:11

Julez thats the account i have that they are closing. Bloody natwest!
I have had a look at the money saving experts forum and it say Barcleys will allow bankrupts to have a basic account. May pop in and see them later. Have natwest bank and Barcleys here. Would prefer local bank so its easy to get too.

julezboo · 06/07/2007 12:12

oh bloody natwest!!!! In the meantime do you have family that could help you by getting your benefits into their account for you? Not sure if they will do that nowadays.

I know tax credits will send out a giro, they do us everyweek for our wtc. Try them maybe?

yaddayah · 06/07/2007 12:13

tort sorry you're having a bad time of it

julez suggestion sounds good, I don't know about bankrupcy, but does'nt someone have to adminster it .. for everything to just stop seems barmy / counterproductive, have you tried CAB (I know they do debt advice)

Sorry for the waffle/if i'm stating the bleedin obvious !

yaddayah · 06/07/2007 12:14

x posted !

tortoise · 06/07/2007 12:15

CTC are sending giro for a few weeks but would prefer account to pay it into.
My parents live in Turkey so not possible to get them to help. And i am too embarassed to tell them at the moment.

tortoise · 06/07/2007 12:17

Yadda CAB helped with the bankruptcy so not sure they can help further. Am hoping Barcleys will help!!

Must go and do some tidying up! Aufish kicked me!

grouchyoscar · 06/07/2007 13:07

Tort - Oh sweetheart, if it's not one thing it's another for you {{HUG}}. I sugget you get more advice from the CAB, they know all the ropes tbh

Going to the school fete in 45 mins.

More Dones
Collect DS
Make lunch for 3 and serve
Tidy away
Empty TD
Fold it all
Organise for putting away

Getting to 'Fed up' status again (I try so very hard to escape wimbledon, it's for wombles only imho)

ERight, time to get fleeced at the fete

tortoise · 06/07/2007 13:58

Thanks GO.

Got a fair bit done really and time flew by.
I am feeling very tired now for some reason. No idea what.

Not long until school pick up time and as its friday xp1 will be picking ds's up at 5 to go over to his.

shouldbe · 06/07/2007 14:10

Hello again

I've not really done very much more than last time I posted but my guilt about it has shifted it can all wait! I have folded the dry washing and brought it upstairs but it's yet to be put away in the correct drawers/wardrobes...I've made a lovely train track with ds and have been enjoying watching him play...and a chocolate cake (no lemons at the village shop today) is in the oven

Not long before we collect dd - ds wants to ride his scooter rather than ride on the back of my bike today so we'll need to leave earlier - he is s l o w !

julezboo · 06/07/2007 14:49

GO must be something in the air, Im feelng very fed up and tired today.

SB~ have fun with your DS on his scooter lol

tort I hope cab can help you.

Ok so far done:

dishes,
tidy round living room
one load of washing in WM
went the docs for prescriptions
went shop for leccy!

I put DS down for a sleep in his cot at around 1pm, he went to sleep and by half 1 I was yawning my head off so decided whilst all was quiet Ill go put my scrubs dvd on and have a nap or at least some quiet time! Pfft went that idea, soon as i put my head on the pillow baby woke up, put him in bed with me, the phone went, finally got settled and the door went! So i gave up and we went for a walk.

Dont have to do school run today, he is going to his friends tonight (well soft play with his mum) so im lax'in now till I have to go get DP, might put another wash on!

Jas · 06/07/2007 15:00

tortoise - Sorry you are having to struggle with all this on your own Even I will share a (hug) on this occasion.
I know it is the least of your problems but the Sky box operates as a freeview box once it is cut off, so you won't lose all the tv.

Back properly later....

tort sorry you're having such a rotten time. Anything we can do to help?
luda how are you feeling now?

done
shopping (it was hell)

I am now going to tackle the fridge and the kitchen. Ick!

grouchyoscar · 06/07/2007 17:07

Hello again

Well, a tad effed off tbh, got back from the fete and DH has done nothing re the house or with DS (Ed didn't want to 'go to school again so I went to see my mates on the PTA and in the Children's Centre).

The fete was OK. and I spent less than a fiver. Got some homemade buns and biscuits that the nursery kids had made. Ed said 'they're just like the ones I made!' Awwwh. Also got 20 quids worth of uniform for him for 2.50. He'll grow into them soon enough. So I think that's a bonus all round really.

I've made the pizza dough and sauce since I got back. Ah well, it's nice to know the place falls apart in my absence really.

DH in the bath to soothe his man flu (diddums) so I'm having some me time atm

Have nice evenings everyone

tortoise · 06/07/2007 18:30

Thanks jas and BB. i am sure i will be ok.
XP1 knows now. His mother spotted it in the local paper. i was warned it would be in there. Apparently courts have to report things like bankruptcy. Oh well! Got F'all to do with him. It won't affect the boys at all.(And SW knows already so no good him sneaking to report it to her which is what he will probably try to do!)

My nose is sore from too mcuh blowing. Am very tired too.

Luda i hope you(and the rest of the family) are feeling better tonight.

gibberish · 06/07/2007 18:47

Aw tort. So sorry you are having such a rough time atm. Money problems can be soul destroying. Hopefully the bankruptcy will eventually make things easier for you. Really want to give you a hug but am fighting it

luda and all you other ill/down ladies. Am fighting against giving you all hugs too!! I hope the weekend makes you all feel better.

I've had a great day at work today - both bosses in very good moods (thank goodness). It's the kind of place where when things are good they are great, when they are bad they are unbearable...

No FLYing this weekend - still building the kitchen. My entire house is in chaos. Got to go shopping tomorrow for flooring, tiles and wallpaper. Then getting my hair done in the afternoon, ooooer...

Have a good evening all. Open some wine and chill, you all deserve it. (Unless it's a very bad idea to have wine after you have been sick...)

ludaloo · 07/07/2007 07:26

weekend fly here
