Zed beds

Does anyone use a zed bed at home? We've no spare bed as such, but a small room it could go in. I'm thinking of getting one for use when snoring gets too much/ occasional dc friends sleepovers. I've seen ones with slats and slimmer ones with a mesh. Any recommendations for either type or makes? What do you put over it to make it less obvious/ ugly when storing?

We had one similar to this when the children were younger and had sleepovers.

You can buy covers to put over them to protect them from dust, etc.

I'm not sure that there is much else you can do to make them "pretty".

I would suggest getting the best mattress that you can afford as they can be uncomfortable if slept on regularly (I assume because the mattress is folded up regularly). Or buy a decent mattress topper to use with it.

Have you thought of an air bed? The high ones are fantastic - as good as a good bed! They fold up and pack away and your spare room is empty again. We've had one of these for 5 years or so and guests love it. www.johnlewis.com/brand/aerobed/_/N-1z13yuu

We have a standard air bed which isn't great really, fine for kids. I need something that can easily be put up for those in the middle of the night, can't stand the snoring anymore moments!!

An aerobed isn't a standard air bed :) You can tell that by the price.
