Tell me about your floor broom

right if that boring request didn't send you running for the hills...

I need a decent broom. I've got a mix of hard wood and tile flooring. My current bristle brush needs replacing (after 10 years)

Seem to be all sorts on the market now... do I need a rubbermaid or an oxo angled thingy or a normal bristly thing... or what? I'm prepared to pay a bit if it will do the job well and last.

So what shall I get?

Changed from a broom to a Dyson handheld instead, godsend for my back.

By the time I'd brushed up the whole of downstairs hard floors I was broken so big the bullet and got one.

Recently updated it to a newer one, much more power, they've come a long way.
