Garden waste recycling bin stinks - any ideas!

Well the stench is awful but the bin is big and heavy. It has just been emptied after 4 weeks (another story!). What can I do?

Leave the lid open and leave it in the rain for a day or so, then tip it out down a drain or onto a soakaway area of ground. If you want to brush it out do so .
