Have been borrowing my mums compact tumble drier, which lives in the spare room (no room in kitchen) But spare room will soon be ds2 bedroom, so need to replace washing machine with washer drier.

All advice greatly appreciated.

My advice is DON'T!! Washer driers are, IMHO, a waste of money. There is twice as much to go wrong, and they never dry properly anyway. They just make your stuff hot and wet as opposed to cold and wet. Do you really need a drier? If you do go ahead and get one, avoid Indeshit like the plague.

Anywhere you can put a compact drier? Ours started off in the larder of our first house and has been going strong for 20 years through four house moves and two sports mad sons. Washer driers aren't much good at drying and make the whole washing process incredibly long. If you have to buy one, buy at the top end eg Miele.

thanks

We have tried to put the drier in all sorts of places (including cupboard under the stairs), but there really isn't anywhere for it to go.
And we don't really need a new washing machine, as ours works. Its just the space saving issue.
