Help with a period stain on a polyester chair (pale green/yellow chair)

Hi All

My daughter had a sleepover last night. After all the girls had gone I noticed a red stain (fairly certain it's blood) on a pale green/yellow chair we have. It's not massive but definitely very noticeable.

It could have been there for at least 24 hours before we noticed so it's not fresh.

The chair is this one: www.habitat.co.uk/momo-saffron-yellow-fabric-armchair-282275 it's 100% polyester.

Can anyone please advise how we can clean it?

Thank you.

The seat cover should be removable. Take it to a dry cleaners - the care instructions for that chair warn you not to use a wet cloth to clean the fabric or rub it. If the stain has soaked through to the inner cushion then I would be tempted to clean that myself using cold water and some Fairy liquid on a damp cloth. This method has worked for me and shifted blood stains from a white school shirt. Good luck.

This is slightly rank and will require a further clean afterwards, but saliva will get rid of the stain.

Good saliva suggestion, don't know about cleaning polyester though.
