Retractable clothes line recommendations, please - not Minky

Having bought two Minky retractable clothes lines - single and double line - both have broken within about 6 months. The issue is that the little plastic tab that the line wraps around, snaps. Possibly gets brittle in cold weather? I'm in the UK so not talking about severe cold.

So what's the alternative - can't find anything that seems comparable in terms of type. Any recommendations?

If the shape of your garden is suitable, I highly recommend the Brabantia Wallfix. Expensive and rather than retractable it folds neatly against the wall. I love mine.

I absolutely hate my Minky one. My mother warned me not to get it but I didn’t listen. I’m a fool.

My last one was John Lewis and I think it was their own brand.
