After using the shower, spray bleach spray or bathroom spray on the shower curtain while it's wet, leave it or rinse off after a while.. mine has always stayed clean/white since I started doing this 😉

Thanks, I'll try it.

Thank you. Ill give this a try.

I've never had any issues with shower curtains, maybe because I open them along the bath to dry them after having a shower. Oh and I wash them probably every month too. Would rather do that than introduce more chemicals to the house.

I used to open mine all the way to air dry and regularly pop it in the washing machine with a bit of bleach.

Can you wash the plastic shower curtains?

We need to stop using harsh cleaning products willy nilly, imo.

We need to stop using harsh cleaning products willy nilly, imo but it's not "willy nilly", it's to prevent/get rid of mould.

Slatterna Yes, just not on a hot wash.

Shove it in the washing machine on a woollens cycle with a slug of bleach. Cleans the inside of the machine and the curtain in one go, just have to wash the tray and you've halved your work.

I wash mine about once a month or so on a 1 hour 60deg cycle with bio washing powder. Never gets mouldy, never have to use bleach, willy nilly or otherwise.

My polyester shower curtain gets washed with the towels and that seems enough to keep it completely mould-free. No bleach required.
