Are built in washing machines and tumble driers ( separate units) any different from free standing in terms of reliability and performance?

I think they are much the same as each other just built in such a way that a door can be fitted to the front and sized that they fit into a carcass kitchen unit and hidden away out of sight

I've always gone for integrated appliances as I like the look of clean lines in a kitchen and don't like to see appliance fronts .
If however I had a utility room I probably wouldn't bother as much about them being integrated as they would be hidden away

Generally speaking the integrated appliances are slightly more expensive than free standing appliances
I don't usually but from the kitchen suppliers but look through AOL or appliances direct . ( unless the kitchen supplier has an amazing offer )
