Help! Candle wax in carpet!!

Friend tipped a candle and a slosh of wax went on the carpet. I got rid of most of it while it was wet but there’s a little patch that’s gone hard.
Any tips for getting it out?!
I seem to have endless housekeeping dramas at the moment

Put a couple of sheets of kitchen roll over it then iron with a warm iron. This will melt the wax and the kitchen roll will absorb it. I may know this from experience.....
