Cleaning UPVC window frames

LilRedWG · 03/07/2007 16:18

We're decorating and have just painted the gloss work white, which has pointed out how yellow our window frames are.

What's the best remedy? Bleach or something else?

Thanks.

you can get a special UPVC cleaner but cream cleaner (CIF for example) works perfectly well

Strong milton solution works well

my mum always used to use T-Cut the stuff for polishing cars!

Oooo - thanks. Doesn't acetone damage the plastic?

My brother used to get us pvc cleaner from the window factory he worked in, if you've got one locally I'm sure they'd sell you some.

acetone is what the window installer gave me to clean it. he turned out to be the dad of an ex-pupil. it said upvc cleaner on the bottle but was acetone

Thanks
