Strange blue marks on t-shirt after washing?

My DD's red north face t-shirt has come out the wash (it's already been air dried) and there's random dark blue patches on it?

As far as I know (I don't remember putting it in the wash, I think DH did it) it was put on a normal 30 degree wash with nothing that would run with it.

Dd is now sulking that her t-shirt is ruined, she got it herself out of her birthday money, I'm not going to hear the end of it! I can only think of washing it on a 40 degree wash with some vanish to see if it'll shift the strange blue marks? Other items of clothing don't seem to be affected.

If there was something dark in there that's run, that might be it. I've had it in the past - new jeans 'darking' on my bright tops. Unfortunately I e never found a way to remove it. You could try colour vanish, it should do any harm just don't leave it sitting in it as it'll bleach it (also found out the hard way!)

Do you use liquid wash or fabric conditioner? I have found these to do similar to my clothes.

I use liquid detergent, no fabric conditioner. Bloody £28 as well for a t-shirt! I'll the vanish a go, it can't turn out any worse than it already is I suppose!

Try dylon colour run remover. It works a treat.

I've had this before when a laundry tablet thing got caught in something and didn't melt properly, so some dark blue detergent (and crumbly white stuff) got stuck. Could that be it?
