I have a rare two days off this week (half nine til 3). I want to spend Thursday blitzing my hovel home so I can do something enjoyable on Friday. How should I approach this for maximum efficiency?!

What is the issue? Is it clutter, untidyness or just unclean? Or other?!

All washing into the wash basket then divide into loads.

Go around all rooms collecting every plate, cup, spoon etc and take to kitchen and wash/ dishwasher.

All coats hung up.

All shoes away.

All clean washing in the drawers/ wardrobe.

Then you will be able to see what you are left with. Wash/vacuum floors. Open windows and dust.

My kitchen is actually pretty good and doesn't need much doing Family Room, Dining room, bathroom, bedrooms and hallway are in dire need of everything!!

How did today go OP?

BigMandy · 01/02/2019 03:15

Thank you @Urbanvoltaire - well, I got a lot done in the first hour but slowed down a lot after that. Lessons learn include:
Waitrose Eco toilet cleaner is... just not as good at bleach and smells horrible.
Even a small amount of bicarb residue on a microfiber cloth will smear badly and leave a white bloom on kitchen surfaces which is annoying
I can use a broom to reach a stair well windowsill to dust
My bulbs are showing their heads in my planter which I have barely looked at despite it being just outside my front door

I expect Friday will be a snow day so I'm glad Ibdidnt get around to mopping the floors!!
