Lightweight vacuum cleaner recommendations please!

I no longer need a big vacuum as I now live on my own, no pets and no shoes in the house. I don't actually have to vacuum that often! My house is over three floors, lots of stairs, so preferably something lightweight. Are the shark uprights good? Or a vax lightweight? Any ideas? Budget is £200

I just bought a shark hand held for my stairs. I combine that with a Roomba robot for the floors. If my Shark is anything to go by, their other vacuums will be excellent!

I bought this shark a couple of months ago

Love it! You can attach the top (motor & dust collector) directly onto the bottom and it makes a compact unit that's ideal for stairs. It's got a very long lead, too.

My DA has the Greco which is very good.

Thank you for your replies. I'm wading through reviews...it really is a minefield!
I noticed the Vax cordless won mumsnet best vacuum cleaner. Would you buy just a cordless vac, rather than have it as a back up?

My friend has a cordless as her main one, but it has a spare bettery, so she can swap them over.
