How on earth can I get prit stick off our dining room velvet chair? My husband said we could scratch it off once it was dry....but its not coming off well and it looks like a massive snail has crawled all over my chair.....help please!!

Heat the glue with a hairdryer and blot with kitchen roll?

Now I would freeze.

Pritt Stick is washable - could you put a damp cloth on the fabric?

OK, just found FAQs on the Pritt website http://www.prittworld.co.uk/en/meta/footer-nav/faq.html

There's info on if the glue gets on clothes but it doesn't mention upholstery.

  1. What can I do if some glue gets on my clothing?

Even though most of our glues are non-liquid, you may get glue on your sleeve sometimes. Pre-soak the clothing in cold water for about 10 minutes.

Follow the washing instructions on the garment label and don't dry-clean it.

There's contact info on another page so you could ask Mr Pritt himself Grin

I might try a damp cloth first....just worried I rub it further into the fabric.

Or indeed I might just contact Mr Pritt himself :)
