Removing sharpie from teddy?

So, ds2 asked ds1 to draw a face on his fave teddy, but then changed his mind. Any ideas on how to get it off? I've tried Dr Beckmann stain remover?

Use kitchen towel to dab around the stained area gently with surgical spirit then dab the actual stain itself. The ink should be absorbed into the kitchen towel - change the sheet of kitchen towel regularly. When the ink has gone wash the item as normal.

Glancing at the title hoped I could put my two penneth towards a Peaky Blinder gangster / cuddly toy problem - I'll back away......
