Finding the time to clean..

Recently we had our first baby, hubby went back to work one week after the birth. At first the house ran into a sorry state of affairs but I pulled my finger out and fixed it, every room. I follow Mrs hinch and Mari kondi and that helped quite a bit, does anyone else with kids have an easier solution on keeping on top of everything? I can’t let it go back to that when we came home from hospital.

Don’t leave a room empty handed. Make sure you’ve tidied away before bed. Do a 15 min blitz in the day. Do different jobs on every day. You don’t have to mop or Hoover every day like Hinch. Do a bit every day. Or choose a room a day to go over.

Also, make your bed as soon as you get out of it!

I've gotten rid of about half of my possessions in the last year or so, and the difference it has made is amazing. I didn't set half as a target, I just started in one place getting rid of a few bits and then it's snowballed from there. Cleaning is now significantly easier with less stuff, and actually much more enjoyable!

Absolutely agree about decluttering as much as possible. And I'm sorry to say that when the toys start to accumulate it will only get harder so best to build good habits now.

Get a good morning and evening routine going with your husband, fill dishwashers, progress laundry, clean up the kitchen etc. Life changing for us.

If you like methods then try the organised Mum method but make sure DH is pulling his weight.
