How do you stiffen up a Ballet tutu??

Don't know where else to put this question!

Does anyone know how to stiffen up a Ballet tutu? DD was in het first show tonight & most of the other girls tutu's seemed to be sticking up a lot more than hers. Not mega important I know, but just wondered if there a secret way of doing this and no-one has told me

Spray on starch? Dried with a hairdryer to fluff it up?

store it hanging upside down????

People at my daughters dancing used hairspray. Can't see that it would work but lots of mums used it.

yes hang upside down

hairspray will work if you hang it upside down and spray it then leave it until it dries. or spray starch.

be careful though,adding hairspray will make it severely flammable!

Thanks everyone. Too late to buy starch now so am going to try hairspray & hang it upside down overnight.

Agree with the hanging upside down and our ballet school recommended storing in bathroom or shower room as steam helps!
