We are having a big sort out and reorganising where a few things should live. I currently have a smallish drawer in the sideboard stuffed with cards, sheets of paper and a few gift bags but it’s messy and I can’t see what I have easily so often buy more of the same.

How do other people organise this stuff and whereabouts do you keep it?

Have a look at craft cupboards on Pinterest. Lots of good idea especially if you cant commit a whole cupboard but can utilise the back of a cupboard door.

I have a gift wrap storage box that I have in a cupboard in my study for bags, tissue paper cards ribbons, etc. For wrapping paper on a roll I have it in a cylinder wrap bag which is for wrapping paper. The storage box is long enough for wrapping paper rolls to go inside, I just had the bag first.

I keep gift bags folded flat in a large gift bag.
Gift tags, ribbons, bows, etc are stored together in a large-ish gift box.
Tissue paper is folded and put into a Jo Malone bag
Wrapping paper is now kept in my lovely clear storage bag I got from Amazon this Christmas (not as a gift, I hasten to add)
These is all stored together in a large cupboard in my office.
Blank greetings cards and sellotape rolls live in the drawer at the bottom of my bookshelf.

Where do you keep wrapping paper, cards, gift bags etc?

Christmas paper in a bag in the loft. Ribbons, bows and tape in too.
Christmas bags inside one and in with some Christmas decs.

Ribbon, bows etc in small box in cupboard. I chose one roll or pack of paper that can be used for everything.

I have a box with months of the year files. It is attractive so can stay out on top of a narrow cupboard. All cards are in kept there and it has a secret drawer for stamps. I keep a pen in there too. It has a list at the front to put dates and names.

One if the most useful things I've ever bought!

Where do you keep wrapping paper, cards, gift bags etc?

I like the look of that itsgoodtotalk Where do you actually keep the whole thing?

I keep it under the sofa, that way it's easy to get to but out the way.

Windybob · 14/01/2019 13:16

Usually just pop them in a bag or storage box and keep them on the floor of the wardbrode. It's one of those spaces that is not used that much and people tend to forget about it, and also means stuff stays out of the way.

MikeUniformMike · 14/01/2019 15:11

Stationery cupboard. If you use brown paper for all gifts you only need ribbon or string to brighten it.

TulipsInbloom1 · 14/01/2019 15:26

A thin long kidded tub slid under the spare bed.

Bowerbird5 · 14/01/2019 19:27

DH is taking DS to IKEA next week so I will be asking him to fetch one of those back, thanks. It looks better than the bag one we have and the zip is broken.

Fantasisa · 14/01/2019 19:32

In a drawer in my wardrobe although I’m trying to get through the gift bags so we don’t have those left anymore as they take up more space than I’d like. I recycle them so they are always reproducing!

NorthEndGal · 14/01/2019 19:33

We use a wrapping box, and store it under the master bed

SavoyCabbage · 14/01/2019 19:37

In a shoe box. I only buy folding wrapping paper except for at Christmas and I don’t keep any until next year.

Galvantula · 14/01/2019 19:37

I've got it all inside a gift bag beside my stationery cupboard. Cards are beside my note cards and envelopes area.

MarmiteTermite · 14/01/2019 19:39

I have just bought one of those clear cylindrical clear bags for wrapping paper - thanks to this thread Smile

GreenTulips · 14/01/2019 20:13

I made a long fabric tube
Then sewed on one big pocket and 2 smaller ones
Then a draw string top

So I have rolls in the main bit
Folded paper in the big pocket
Scissors and cello tape in the smaller pocket with labels and gift tags
It has a loop and is hung in the wardrobe

Gift bags are in a larger gift back

howonearthdoyoucopewith3 · 14/01/2019 20:17

I keep a a4 box file with cards in one of our kitchen cupboards. Seems like we always need a card for something so it's good to have them immediately accessible. Xmas wrapping paper, selloptape and gift tags get stored with the Xmas decs. Wrapping paper and gift bags are in my 'presents' cupboard. I always, always re-use gift bags. They seem quite environmentally unfriendly to me. Am sure my sister and I have exchanged the same bags a few times!

Stompythedinosaur · 15/01/2019 20:22

Wrapping paper is in the spare room in an Ikea bag holder, gift bags at in the same box as my stash of presents. Christmas paper goes in the loft in a really useful box (the long and thing one) with a separate box for ribbons and tags.

jellyshoeswithdiamonds · 15/01/2019 21:30

In a suit carrier, hanging up in the shed.

MitziK · 20/01/2019 23:18

I don't. I buy it when I need it.

IdentifyasTired · 22/01/2019 20:18

Also from Ikea:

www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/kitchen-products/kitchen-organisers-shelves/variera-plastic-bag-dispenser-white-art-80010222/

This can be stored vertically and fixed to walls/cupboard doors. Very handy for wrapping paper rolls.

Sorry. Can't get clicky link to work!

Ridingthegravytrain · 22/01/2019 20:21

In the drinks cabinet (obviously Grin)

Widgeon · 23/01/2019 00:06

I have an entire big drawer - hangover from when the children had endless parties at primary school. This thread has motivated me to have a clear out and keep a roll of generic wrapping paper and neutral cards in my dreams, bet I don't get round to doing it
