Dried cat/dog food on walls

The title pretty much says it really. We've just bought a house that has 'a lot of work to be done'. Most of it is manageable but there's an area of the kitchen where the white walls have been marked with what I think is cat or dog food.

The walls are painted so I don't want to scrub too much but I'm just wondering if anybody knows the best way to get it off.

So far I've tried giving it a good scrub with hot soapy water and soaking it with spray for a while then scrubbing it off and neither have worked.

Scrape off any solids still left on there (boak) and then melamine eraser. You can get bags of 30 on amazon or eBay, wet it and squeeze out, then go to town. It got blood stains off a white wall recently when our dog cut her ear and then shook her head!

Or try The Pink stuff - it's amazing.

Ohh , whays The Pink Stuff ? Is it like Astonish Paste ?

Does it go dry like Astonish? (Pain in the neck when it does that)

Thanks for starting this, OP! I've had the same problem. Not tried the pink stuff myself, but certainly will now.

As to prevent it from happening again, I've put up a sheet of plastic (dunno what it came from, but it was about the house) up against the wall. It's far from elegant, mind.

Have no idea how the cat can create such a mess up the wall when eating!

In desperation I used a Brillo pad. Worked a treat. However, perhaps not a good idea for frequent use.
