Washing machine not working!

Not sure whether this is the correct place but thought I'd ask anyway our washing machine has stopped working. The lightsand time come up I set it press start and it locks the door and counts down but nothing happens no water nothing! Any ideas? Thanks!

Ours had a total shut down once because the filter was blocked. Could you try that? Might be a tray that slides out right at the bottom.

That was it! The filter had blocked before but it came up with an error code so didn't think it was that but thought I'd try anyway turns out to be a broken up bank card in there!!
Note not mine!
