Smell of vomit in bathroom

DS overindulged on New Year's eve & threw up in the Bathroom.

Everything has been washed, floor mopped, window left open several times for long periods & scented candle burned in the room, but the smell lingers on.

Anyone got any genius suggestions for getting rid of it?

Thanks.

Sprinkle a lot of bicarb of soda over the floor. Leave it as long as possible (the longer the better) then brush it up then clean as normal with a clean/washed mop head or a cloth you can throw away afterwards. If he managed to hit the bathmat then wash it using Dettol laundry cleanser.

The Tesco own brand version is just as good as the original Dettol.
I've used the Dettol stuff to clean all sorts of smelly teenage boy stuff including the inside of rucksacks which had contained long-forgotten musty swimming shorts and towels. I sometimes mop the kitchen floor with it to get rid of the smell of wet dog.

Bleach then disinfectant.

What kind of flooring do you have? If Lino it might have seeped underneath

Thanks for the advice all - I have traced the smell back to DS's pyjamas which were lingering at the bottom of the laundry basket & escaped the hot wash all the towels & bath mats were subjected to.

Hope this will sort it.
