Support & ideas thread for getting organised

Happy New Year everyone!

Yesterday I posted a thread to say I’m struggling with getting and keeping my home organised. I have ADD and am easily distracted and don’t find organisation or routine easy but I realise that both would help me alot.

I received some great suggestions yesterday and think I do need to make myself make more time each day to do things rather than get distracted by my phone amongst other things. I just find focussing so hard, my mind is constantly a whirl.

I was wondering if anyone would be up for having a support and suggestions thread for home organisation? For me this would really help so that as and when I come across an area of my home that is chaotic (most of it) I could add it to the thread as and when I think about it and try and deal with it. Otherwise it just adds to the clutter in my brain and I end up overwhelmed and do nothing!

The first thing I’ve come across this morning whilst doing the post christmas tidy up is the large supermarket bags for life, both the plastic and woven ones. My DH stuffs them in a high up cupboard which I can’t reach and they inevitably end up all falling down on my head. Any suggestions please for storing these?

We fold them all up into each other and flatten them

We fold them all up and keep them in the biggest bag, which hangs on a hook inside the understairs cupboard. This way they’re all in one place, and are easy to reach.

They also come in v handy for throwing things in the loft in Grin

Could you link to your other thread please? I’d like to get more organised...
