Baby wipes. Who would have thought It?

I have recently inherited an Ercol coffe table that’s been in the family for 50 odd years. The top is in good condition but with a few marks and build up of polish.
I’ve French polished furniture before, but didn’t want to destroy the patina only refresh the appearance.
I decided to give it a good wipe with Baby wipes! Well, they’ve removed years of grime without destroying the table’s finish or patina.
Who would have thought it? Several layers of beeswax and it’s very smart again.

I'm not surprised. I've used baby wipes to clean up paint and correct painting errors when decorating. It does make me wonder how they're suitable for babies bottoms.

Don't use them regularly as they will remove any finishes.
I used a baby wipe and i found it had removed my nail varnish.
And yet people wipe their baby's bottom with them.
