Dusty vertical blinds - how to clean??

We've just moved house & the blinds are all very good condition but vvv dusty along the tops. How can I clean them without having to take them down (which I may do when I finally get everything else sorted).

I tried pulling them altogether & vacuuming with the handheld but it didn't really shift any of the dust balls 🙈

Have you tried a good quality microfibre cloth to remove the dust? I use one to give mine a quick clean but for best results I usually take them down and wash them in the bath with some Fairy liquid and biological soap powder. Leaves them looking as good as new.

I think Lakeland may do a special slatted blind cleaner that might work.
