How to prevent mould in dishwasher

Hey there,
Getting a new Bosch dishwasher, previous one was a crappy curry’s one brand that didn’t dry so I’m wondering if that’s why I had such a bad mould problem in it.
Basically I’m looking to prevent this.
Pls tell me any tips on keeping new dishwasher clean and fresh and and in good condition. Ie. How often to clean filters? What else do you clean? Any other tips

I've never had mould in the dishwasher. I clean the filters and spray arms every so often

I clean around the door seal with a soft brush and soapy water. And when its not running i leave the door slightly ajar. When I’m away on holiday i leave the door open more, justo not far enough to trigger the light.

Same with washing machine and tumble dryer.

I’ve never had mould in my dishwasher and it is ancient. I occasionally run a dishwasher cleaner through it and clean the filter and arms and it is always open when it is not washing.

violet I don’t have a light in my dishwasher. Wow, that is posh! Grin

I’ve had the same dishwasher for twenty years now and have never had mould in it! Leaving it ajar when not using should help but if it’s on every day it shouldn’t be an issue.

I rinse the filter before or after every use, it takes 5 seconds under the tap.

Mine has never gone mouldy.

Definitely leave door open when not in use.
