Paint on my jeans - help!

Hi

Can anyone suggest something to get emulsion paint out of my brand new gorgeous jeans?

I spilled a whole tub of paint over them in a shop yesterday - a large DIY chain with an organe sign - no names!! The shop was appalling in the way they treated me - made me stand for 15 minutes until the "clean up" trolley came by which time the paint had dried/gone tacky and then they handed me ONE glass cleaning wipe to clean myslef up!!

When I complaned again they poured sugar soap all over my hands (it's supposed to be kept out of contact with skin)!! They wouldn't let me go to the loos to wash it off myself GRRR rant rant rant...

Anyway I washed my jeans twice as soon as I got home and the paint is almost out but there is one big stubborn patch - any suggestons?

Hmm yes will complain... but it was my fault - I had the paint balanced precariously on the top of my pram with screaming baby inside!!

was it emulsion? you can scrub at it with cold water and it usually comes off

daisyhun · 27/06/2007 19:44

Yes it was emulsion but I scrubbed and scrubbed and what is left are the last bits that are a bit stubborn.

I'm a bit worried as I have a t-shirt I splashed emulsion on years ago and it has never come off even after hundreds of machine washes...

you have to sort of pick it off with your nails! what colour was it

daisyhun · 27/06/2007 22:37

Off white - not great on blue denim!

Now that I've washed tem a few times I am not sure I will be able to pick it off but will give it a go!

B&Q managed to spill loads of emulsion all over my car.... and the tyres and mud gaurds...

they paid for it to be washed without a problem. The washing garage were fine as emulsion is water soluble and does just wash off with water
