Laundry starch

Hi I've got new cotton bedding. Apart from spray starch how can I crisp it up like hotels do ?

I don't know if you can still get it, but Dylon used to do a liquid starch,

  • put it in the machine in place of fabric softener.

But laundry starch is essentially cornstarch (commercial starch of course has extra chemicals), so you can make your own from CS or any high starch ingredient.

If the reason for not wanting spray starch is because you won't be ironing the sheets, you'll need to see if there is a receipe if liquid starch for the machine or soaking.

HERE Is the first one I picked off google, but this maybe for a spray starch receipe.

Wow thanks for replying. Didn't even occur to me I could make my own. I use dylon spray starch and have ironed it using that but am really after that crisp hotel bedding. (Didn't use fabric conditioner when washing it )
