Steam mops

I’ve been reading hundreds of steam mop reviews and I feel even more confused than when I began. A lot seem to just stop working according to reviews! The thane x5 seems to get reasonable reviews of late, early reviews seem to be terrible. It will be used for flooring, tiles, windows and shower screens.

Can anyone recommend me a good one that won’t cost a fortune?

I had a Hoover steam mop I loved which stopped working just out of guarantee However, my DH had been the last to use it so I blamed him!

I have a Shark from Lakeland - was about £20 more than Amazon but has a 3yr guarantee which swayed me. It was on offer at the time for about £120 - it's the Klick and Flip

Can't say if it's made my floors cleaner as I have unsealed quarry tiles so they look dirty anyway Grin but I use it at least 3 times a week which is far far more than I used to mop! For this reason, I feel better for having it

Please share your views on the steam mops. I'm just thinking of getting one. Never used one before, so don't know what to expect.

Can it be used on laminate as well as tiles?

What makes are the best?

Thank you

My Shark has three settings so I can switch between high for my tiles and low for my wooden floors

I can't fault it so far but only had it about 4 months

Looking for Steam mop for my DD she has white high gloss kitchen tiles. Does the shark leave water marks ?

I bought a vileda steam mop in April and I simply love it! So effortless!

I have a shark and really like it. It doesn't leave any water marks but I have grey porcelain tiles so can't speak for gloss. I like that I can unclip the floor part and use it as an ordinary steam cleaner too. It's good for tiles, windows etc.
I have eczema and struggle with cleaning with chemicals so appreciate being able to steam on occasion.
