I have several pairs of trousers which are full of static and always cling. Have tried a spray from kleeneze but didn't work. Any other tips?

I bought a pair of trousers like that once.

I used to put them in the dryer with those tumble dryer sheets. Get the ones with the least possible scent!

Thanks Sue, am going out later, might try to get some. Any particular ones? And will it work on trousers that are already dry?

I think its all down to lack of moisture fabric conditioner should help..

Rub a bar of soap down the inside of the trousers. I had this problem with a skirt and it really works.

thanks for the extra tips, will try them all! It isn't all my trousers, just some, and they're all made of different material so not sure what caused it.

its usually the nylon based ones that are more static....

SueW · 26/06/2007 17:44

Yes it works on trousers that are already dry.

I used to put my one pair of trousers like this in the dryer for a few minutes on cold/cool down with 2-3 fab con sheets. Hideous waste of money/energy so I ditched the trousers as they were only cheapies and were costing me more in fab con sheets and electricity than their original price!

But in your situation for a short term solution...

I don't know if any works better than another

Put some body lotion on before wearing them.
