New vacuum cleaner advice

My dog has kindly chewed the power cable on my Dyson Dc 41 in half. I’ve never liked the vacuum, the suction has been crap despite having Dyson out and I don’t really want to pay out to get a new cable fitted as I’d rather put it towards a new vacuum.

I have two dogs and a mix of hard floor and carpet. I was advised that Shark vacuums are good but have no idea really on what to buy. I don’t know if to go bagless or not. Max budget £300 ish unless there’s a really good deal on something amazingly super duper.

I have shark and it is brilliant and best Hoover I ever had. It has four ways of using and also has the function for carpet and hard floors. Really good
