Cleaning wooden floors

We have an oiled engineered oak floor throughout our ground floor. When we purchased the floor we were told not to mop, but just sweep.

Anyway, roll on 6 months and we’re in the midst of more building work. The floor is covered in building dust most days, and the builders have traipsed in and out to the kettle and left marks.

If it was my old laminate there wouldn’t be an issue. I’d get the mop out and it’d be problem solved!! But what do I do with an unmopable floor??!! Tips?

I use floor wipes on the end of a mop that clasps them. They clean the floor without leaving damp.

Thanks, I’ll have to get some! Just been googling and didn’t realize such a thing existed.

We had our original parquet flooring re sanded , repealed & protector done professionally

The guy told me to use microfibre mop with dash of washing up liquid
Works for me, cleans without wetting like ordinary mops do.

I have the same floor. I use Method floor cleaner on a microfiber cloth
