Long story short my aunt transferred her property to me and said I could pay her back A certain amount in my own time. No documents were ever drawn up or contract signed.

When I got the money she wouldn't accept if be ause I said I wanted it fine through a solicitor.

Next thing I know she sent me a solicitor letter asking for 5 times as much money. After nearly having a net lys breakdown and then spending 4k on a solicitor we are no further forward. I got the tr1 form myself and it says it was transferred for no money or anything that has a monetary value. Can anyone give me some advice. I'm totally stressed. Help 😢

You’ll probably get more advice if you get this moved to the legal section.

But if you’ve spent £4K on legal fees, they must have advised you? What does your solicitor say?

Your post isn’t very clear as to the facts. But if the property has been transferred to you then you own it. It will be down to your aunt to prove that there was an agreement between you that you pay her money after the transfer, which will be difficult if there is nothing in writing.
