Moth infestation

I have had a major issue with moths in my house for several months, mainly in my kitchen, I have emptied all the cupboards, chucked away any dry ingredients that’s opened or has signs of moths on them, washed everything with soapy water, chucked away cereal boxes and bought air tight containers to store things in. They have reduced in numbers but are still there. I have tried several moth killers and things that hang in the kitchen but I can’t get rid of them. I was just putting the washing away and found a maggot in the washing pile and now my skins crawling. How do I get rid? Do I need to get pest control in or maybe pay someone to deep clean my house?

Bumping this for you. My only comment is perhaps the last infestation of moths laid Eggs and this is why you still have some? As for stopping them returning I'd imagine the best way is to close windows and doors at night. Or is that too simple? Confused

Yes, I think it’s the eggs hatching, only had one flying around the kitchen this morning. I have bought some spray which I can spray all the surfaces with before going to bed tonight. All the windows are shut at night.

Ah, been having this issue too. Been wondering if they're coming through the air vents, but have found grubs/maggots on the walls. It;s a bit cyclic at the moment. We get moths, we kill as many as we can, number dwindle, find a grub or two, and then they're back.

We've not have windows opened for weeks so it's not like we're letting them in! Can't seem to find the course after cleaning either!

Yes, they seem to almost disappear and then reappear again a week or so later. The spray seems to be working, I still have a moth or 2 this morning but far less than before, we do have airvents so that's a possibility.
