Is there such thing as an easy to clean gas hob?

I really wanted to try induction hob for our next hob but dh is adamant we stick with natural gas. A friend who is a chef also recommends we stick with gas. They are so awkward to clean and I find it hard to lift the heavy cast iron support and harder to get them really clean.
Has anyone tried a glass on gas hob? Any recommendations?

Ive used several different gas hobs in houses I've worked in and never found one that's as easy to clean as an induction hob. I hate making tomato sauce at work, to reduce it down you need to take off the lid and that means the tomato sauce spatters all over the hob, the burners, the pan support things, which all need to be cleaned - at home I have induction and its just a quick swipe across the glass to clean.
I find induction just as responsive as gas, and it's supposed to be more energy efficient as the heat goes directly to the pan, rather than a gas burner where some of the energy is lost as it heats the air around the hob.

I prefer gas. I have a cheap gas cooker (bought as short term over ten years ago ...) and it looks good despite daily use. Because it's cheap, the supports are light and easy to move. After use, I spray with a mixture of vinegar and washing up liquid. After dinner, I wring a cloth out in hot water and wipe over. Two minutes. I take the burners off and clean them less frequently.

I only found this out recently but all the parts on the top of the hob clean really well in the dishwasher! Such a time saver. Then can just wipe the stainless steal around the rings with ease. 💪🏻

Same as musicalmama I throw all the removable bits in the dishwasher. It's still a bit of a pain to clean but not as bad, and worth it because I prefer to cook on gas.

I have a glass induction hob with an additional glass gas burner too. I hate cleaning the gas one. The induction hob is easier to clean but it does smear and needs cleaning after every use. It shows pan marks and finger marks too.

Re washing the cast iron pan supports in the dish washer I found this made my old ones rusty so I wouldn't recommend it.
