Steam Mop

I would love a steam mop and am thinking of treating myself after Christmas in the sales (sad I know Grin) but I don’t really know much about them. Can I clean things like bathroom tiles, the hob, window frames?

Do you need to buy a special solution/cleaner to go inside it?

How do you clean the pads/sponges which go on the bottom? Can they go in the washing machine?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for a decent one, which is not too expensive?

Sorry for all the questions. I am clueless!!

Yes you can do tiles, loo, bath, floors, windows etc. Painted surfaces may peel though. It is supposed to be distilled water, like for an iron, but you can buy perfumed water in pound stores. The pads go in the wm but ime never come clean (or maybe our house is grubbier than average!).
